Manchester United are reportedly facing fresh doubt over completing the transfer of Bruno Fernandes – because of Ed Woodward!
The Red Devils executive vice-chairman is reported to have some reservations about finalising the deal for the Sporting Lisbon attacking midfielder, according to O Jogo, as translated by the Metro.
Fernandes just had a superb season in which he hit double figures for goals and assists, and scored some absolute bangers from long range.
However, Woodward is seemingly aware of the amount of expensive flops he’s brought in during his reign at Old Trafford.
While Fernandes seems a fairly safe bet after this outstanding season he’s had, perhaps there is some need to be cautious before splashing out on someone who’s only done it in the Portuguese league.
Still, Man Utd do need to be careful and basically make their minds up quickly, or other top sides will beat us to the signing.
As noted by the Metro, Liverpool and Tottenham also appear to be in contention for the 24-year-old this summer.
