Manchester United have reportedly decided not to target a transfer swoop for Gareth Bale this summer.
According to ESPN, the Real Madrid winger is no longer a priority for the Red Devils, who want to focus on signing younger talents instead, which certainly offers us a clue of who could be on the agenda.
One of the most exciting young players on the planet right now is Borussia Dortmund wonderkid Jadon Sancho, who has recently been strongly linked with United by the Independent, among others.
The 18-year-old would likely cost around £80million and probably seems a better bet than Bale now anyway, with the Wales international’s form taking a real hit this season.
Given that Bale is now 29, it makes sense for Man Utd to think more long-term instead of chasing a player who would possibly be just as, if not more, expensive than Sancho and quite possibly never get back to his absolute best.
